Check Ethiopia National Exam Results 2024: NEAEA Portal Updates

The National Educational Assessment And Examination Agency (NEAEA) is now the Educational Assessment and Examination Services (EAES) of Ethiopia; through its official website, www.neaea.gov.et facilitates students in accessing the Ethiopia National Exam Results for grades 8, 10, and 12 in 2024.

Additionally, neaeagovet.com will provide precise information regarding the date and time when students can check their placement results and other entrance exam outcomes. Students can also access further updates for the 2011-2012 EC. For direct result access, students may use the portal www.nae.gov.et or SMS service at 8181 with the code ‘RTW.’

Highlighting recent achievements, the 2016 high school graduation certificate (Grade 10) and University Admission (Grade 12) exams have been successfully administered across national exam stations. Over half of the students participating in the 2016 Grade 12 National Examination scored above 350.

The 2016 academic year announcement for Ethiopia’s secondary education final exam (12th grade) has been made public. The national exam for 12th graders will be conducted from Hamle 3-5 for Social Sciences and Hamle 9-11/2016 for Natural Sciences candidates online and in universities on paper.

The paper exams for Social Sciences candidates will take place from Scene 30 to Hamle 01/2016 and for Natural Sciences from Hamle 6-7/2016 at universities. Therefore, we advise all candidates and stakeholders to make the necessary preparations. Let us jointly prevent any exam malpractices and cheating.

What is EAES: Educational Assessment and Examination Services?

Among its other responsibilities, the Educational Assessment and Examinations Services (EAES) in Ethiopia has the authority and obligation to organize nationwide examinations, adhering to the nation’s education curriculum and training policies.

The EAES also oversees the administration of national exams, guaranteeing their confidentiality and security. Furthermore, they manage a facility dedicated to securely storing the results of national exams. It’s also within their duty to issue exam result certificates to test-takers. Beyond these, the EAES conducts educational assessments and delivers customer-oriented services such as re-issuing certificates, authenticating and verifying documents, and announcing examination results.

What is SSLE?

The secondary School Leaving Examination (SSLE) is conducted in Ethiopia annually. It is a national examination where pupils sit at the end of their final year. A pupil can sit the SSLE if he/she is studying in an approved institution in Ethiopia.

We have re-developed result.ethernet.edu.et in 2024 for students and public use. However, Ethiopian national examination updates on exam results and dates will be posted here.

PSLCE: Primary School Leaving Certificate Examination

www neaea gov et 2024: According to the education and training policy of Ethiopia, “Primary education is of eight years duration, offering basic and general primary education to prepare students for further general education and training” (ETP, 1994).

Primary education is critical to a nation’s development and is the foundation for further education and economic growth. In Ethiopia, primary education is conducted from grades 1-8 and is implemented in two cycles;

  • 1st cycle (grades 1-4) and primary
  • 2nd cycle (grades 5-8). According

  • Age: 7 to 14

EGSECE: Ethiopian General Secondary Education Certificate Examination

result.ethernet.edu.et 2024: According to the Ethiopian education and training policy, a regional examination is given in grade 8 to certify the completion of primary education.

The first national examination, the Ethiopian General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (EGSECE), is given at grade 10 to certify the completion of general secondary education and to select students who qualify for preparatory education and TVET.

EHEECE Ethiopian Higher Education Entrance Certificate Examination

NEAEA 2024: Similarly, a second national examination, the Ethiopian Higher Education Entrance Certificate Examination (EHEECE) is given at grade 12 to place students in higher education institutions.

Since 2001, the second phase of preparatory secondary education has also consisted of two years (Grades 11 and 12) and is regarded as preparation for higher education. Until 2003, pupils could obtain the Ethiopian School Leaving Certificate (ESLC) at the end of this period. This certificate has since been replaced by the Ethiopian Higher Education Entrance Examination (EHEEE).

It is to be recalled that the Grade 12 completion certificate, issued by the National Education Assessment and Examination Agency (NEAEA), had its nomenclature “The Ethiopian University Entrance Examination Certificate.” We want to inform you that it has been replaced by the new terminology “Secondary School Leaving Examination (SSLE).”

Technical and Vocational Education and Training Institutes (TVETs)

TVET is “those aspects of the educational process involving, in addition to general education, the study of technologies and related sciences, and the acquisition of practical skills, attitudes, understanding, and knowledge related to occupations in various sectors

The total enrolment in TVET between 2004 E.C. (2011/12) and 2008 E.C. (2016/16) has fallen by 3 percent, from 314,159 to 304,139.

New Innovative Medical Education Initiative (NIMEI)

The Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, has been implementing a new curriculum for the training and education of medical doctors. A New Innovative Medical Education Initiative (NIMEI) was launched in Ethiopia in February 2012, and the training of medical doctors using a new approach and curriculum was initiated.
